Membership in collaborative networks

The Polish Center for Photonics and Fiber Optics is a member, founder and coordinator of the Photonics and Fiber Optics Clusterassociating entrepreneurs, research units and business support institutions. The cluster was created as a result of the need to tighten cooperation between entrepreneurs, scientists and engineers operating in the field of photonics and optical fibers, and a clear willingness to join this group of new entities. The advantages of the activities carried out as part of the Cluster are: joint projects, implementation of common goals, access to a wider base of contacts, joining forces in order to build lasting relations outside the Cluster and creating a strong Polish photonics sector. In order to increase the effectiveness of commercialization of Polish photonic solutions, the Polish Center for Photonics and Fiber Optics, as a coordinator, conducts scientific, research, implementation, as well as educational, training and consulting activities.

We are a member of the European Photonics Industry Consortium (EPIC). EPIC is a European photonic industry consortium that is a non-profit association based in Paris, France. Promotes the sustainable development of organizations active in the field of photonics in Europe.

PCFS is also a member of Photonics21. The Photonics21 European Technology Platform brings together most of the photonic industry and research and development stakeholders along the economic chain across Europe. It coordinates research and innovation projects in the field of photonics and contributes to the European research framework program Horizon 2020.
